'And all the people saw him walking and praising God :
and they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautful gate of the Temple :
And they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.'
Acts 3:9-10
Dear Friends,
The above verses are a glorious expression of Gods power in man's weakness. The poor lame man represents the condition of all our souls before we were saved. We were crippled by sin, not able to deliver ourselves, unable to enter through the gate beautiful, into the presence of God. As Peter spoke to this man, so the Lord spoke to us, 'Arise and walk,' and He lifted us out of the dust, unshackled us from our sin and made us to stand free for the first time in our lives! Hallelujah!
The Scripture states that when people saw this man walking and praising God, they remembered that he was the one who sat by the gate beautiful, begging for alms and they were filled with wonder! The same will be true of us. If we are walking with the Lord and continually praising Him, others will see and note how different we are from what we were.
